The day we cooked for Jokoy & his family
What an honor it is to cook for Jokoy and his team.
My Favorite Kitchen Bauko
This was the first place we went to in the Cordilleras-- the beautiful Bauko. We learned so much about their cooking techniques, their culture and also part of their history and people. Everyone was so welcoming and so helpful. Salamat Bauko for having us.
My Favorite Kitchens — Kiangan Part II
It was rainy and wet but we managed to cook by this beautiful river in Kiangan. There is just so much you can do with fire. We all had a quiet moment after eating where we sat alone and just appreciated everything-- from the weather cooperating, to finding this beautiful place, to meeting so many kind souls and to be able to cook such a feast like this and share it with others.
My Favorite Kitchens — Kiangan Part I
I had zero expectations going to Kiangan and I was blown away. We were fortunate enough to have experienced the Bakle Festival, something not a lot of people who aren't from there, have ever gotten to experience. We were the few fortunate ones. Salamat Kiangan.
